In a post published on his Facebook account titled "Morocco Reaps the Harvest, and We Argue Over the Religion!", Algerian journalist Karim Zeghlisch criticized the official Algerian stance on Moroccan economic projects in the southern provinces.
Zeghlisch pointed out that Morocco generates revenues exceeding a billion dollars from these projects, and that all indicators suggest the possibility of increasing this figure during the next year, thanks to the new agreement between the Kingdom and the European Union in the field of trade in agricultural and marine products. Zeghlisch directly addressed Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, expressing his astonishment at the Algerian government's continued criticism of Morocco and explaining what he described as "the mistakes of the United Nations," while Morocco is achieving tangible economic successes. He said: "While Morocco is reaping billions and strengthening its economy, you are still explaining to the world where the mistake lies, as if you were the Minister of Wisdom in the Republic of Talk!" The journalist continued: "You practice your deep philosophy in criticism and analysis, explaining the UN decision from all angles, and rambling on to us with your failed diplomacy." He added: "They have taken the sea, the land, what is above it and what is beneath it… and you cry and lament, you failure. Morocco reaps the harvest, and we argue over the religion!" He concluded his post by saying: "This is what is useful, anything else is just confusion."
