On Wednesday morning, a session of the Justice, Legislation, Human Rights and Freedoms Committee was held in the House of Representatives, attended by the Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Wahbi, to discuss the sub-budget project for the Ministry of Justice for the fiscal year 2026.
During his intervention, Minister Wahbi revealed previous promises from a regional president belonging to his party to provide land in Beni Mellal to build a courthouse, saying: "A regional president who belongs to my party promised to give me land to build a courthouse, I saw you and he did not." He added that the official disappeared after giving this promise, which prevented the implementation of the project, stressing that this delay harms the expansion of the court network and the improvement of access to justice in the region.
