HIBAPRESS – Marrakech
The military district in the city of Marrakech is witnessing a state of alert today, Thursday, after a person climbed an electricity pole near the train station, threatening suicide.
According to local sources, the person in question entered into a dispute with a bank over a property, which prompted him to take this attention-grabbing step, where he climbed the pole and raised a banner accompanied by a number of national flags, threatening to end his life. The local and security authorities and elements of the civil protection immediately arrived at the scene, in an attempt to convince the person to come down and dissuade him from carrying out his threat, amid anticipation and the presence of a number of citizens who followed the incident with concern.
