HIBAPRESS – Berrechid
The rainfall experienced by the Berrechid province today, Thursday, led to clear disruptions in the infrastructure in a number of residential neighborhoods, where streets and alleys in both the Al-Raha neighborhood and the Al-Sharaf, Adouz and Jibran subdivisions turned into puddles, due to the absence of cleaning of the water drainage channels.
A number of residents expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation, describing it as "worrying," and were surprised by the absence of urgent interventions from the responsible authorities, despite the rainfall, which was not exceptional in terms of quantity, but was sufficient to reveal the fragility of the infrastructure. Local sources confirmed that the delay in maintenance operations and cleaning of drainage channels contributed to the aggravation of the situation, which caused the obstruction of traffic on a number of road axes within the city, and sparked the discontent of road users and residents of the affected neighborhoods who demanded the need for urgent intervention to address the defect before it worsens with the increasing intensity of the expected rainfall in the coming days.
