HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyawi
This Sunday, November 16th, the Ifrane province witnessed heavy rainfall, reviving the region after weeks of relative drought. The rain covered most of the province's communities, especially the high-altitude areas, amidst cold weather and dense clouds since dawn.
According to local sources, this rainfall has contributed to raising the water levels in reservoirs and mountain springs, in addition to improving soil moisture, which heralds a promising agricultural season for the region's farmers, known for growing apples, potatoes, and raising livestock. The rainfall also left a great sense of relief among the residents, who welcomed the "rains of goodness" with optimism, given their importance in supporting water resources and preserving the forest cover that distinguishes the Ifrane province. The Meteorological Department expects the rainy weather to continue in the coming hours, with a drop in temperatures and the possibility of light snowfall in the high mountain areas. It is worth noting that Ifrane is one of the most humid and high-altitude areas in Morocco, and it annually experiences significant rainfall that supports its position as a distinctive environmental tourist destination.
