HIBAPRESS – Rabat
The Algerian embassy in Saudi Arabia enlisted citizens from Bangladesh to cheer for the "Desert Foxes" in the match that brought them together with the Saudi team.
The Algerian "Sporteam" website page on "Facebook" published a video clip showing its correspondent in Saudi Arabia asking two people carrying the Algerian flag about their nationality, and they replied that they were from Algeria.
After he inquired about the region they came from in Algeria, one of the two people appeared unable to speak, before the other intervened and said that they were from Bangladesh, and that they came to the match at the behest of the embassy of the "El Mouradia Palace".
The Algerian page tried to justify what happened, saying that the two people work at the Algerian embassy in Saudi Arabia, and decided to come to the stadium to cheer for the "Desert Foxes" against the "Greens".
Despite the attempt at justification, resorting to "mercenaries" from other countries, in order to serve Algeria's interests, is one of the methods that the military regime has become accustomed to using, as it did the same thing in the Tindouf camps, which inflated its population with citizens from other African countries.
