This prestigious event will take place from 7 to 15 July 2024, at the Royal Institute for Training of Executives Mly Rachid in Salé, Morocco.

He will be joined by Donald Guy Bradbury of Canada, a skilled FIVB instructor.

A total of 25 national referees from 21 African countries will participate in this intensive training programme. This initiative is a key element of the CAVB’s strategic human resources plan, which aims to ensure that each of its 54 African countries has at least one internationally certified referee.

This course aligns with the vision of the CAVB Board of Directors led by its President Ms. Bouchra Hajij, whose leadership has led to significant progress in African volleyball refereeing. In 2021, five volleyball referees were upgraded to FIVB “C” referees in Mexico, and seven more are scheduled to complete a similar course in Bulgaria in late August. In addition, five African beach volleyball referees successfully completed their FIVB Notation Course in Thailand in November and are now on the prestigious FIVB Referee List.

CAVB remains committed to improving the quality of volleyball refereeing across Africa by ensuring that its referees meet the highest international standards.
