The "Don't Touch My Son" organization expressed its praise for the judicial ruling issued by the Court of Appeal in El Jadida in the case of the sexual assault of a minor with violence, concerning the child victim in the incident of the Moulay Abdellah Amghar season.
The court issued an initial ruling of 15 years in prison for each of the six defendants, in addition to a civil compensation of 10 million centimes for the benefit of the victim, which is an important step towards promoting justice and protecting children from sexual assaults. In its statement, the organization affirmed that this ruling is an important step towards addressing crimes of assault on children, as it reflects the judiciary's commitment to protecting childhood and pursuing the aggressors. The organization also added that it will continue to support the victim in the appeal phase, demanding the imposition of the harshest penalties against those involved in this heinous crime, so that this ruling serves as a lesson for anyone who would consider harming the innocence of children. On the other hand, the "Don't Touch My Son" organization thanked the lawyer, Professor Hicham Hartoun, from the Casablanca Bar Association, who volunteered to support the victim and follow up on the case without any financial compensation, which reflects the spirit of solidarity and human rights commitment in the face of such crimes. The organization affirms its continued follow-up of the case until all stages of litigation are exhausted, in defense of the rights of the victim and all children who suffer from violence and exploitation, and it pledges to the Moroccan society to complete the struggle to protect childhood and provide a safe environment for all children.
