“Warning bulletin: Heat wave expected from Tuesday to Friday”

The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts a heat wave with temperatures reaching between 39 and 47 degrees Celsius, from Tuesday to Friday, in several regions of the kingdom.

The Directorate, in an orange level alert bulletin, specified that this heat wave is expected from tomorrow Tuesday, with temperatures ranging between 41 and 45 degrees in the provinces of Figuig, Jerrada, Zagora, Tinghir, Errachidia and Tata.

She added that temperatures between 39 and 42 degrees will be recorded from Wednesday, July 10 until Thursday, July 11, in the prefectures and provinces of Ouezzane, Kenitra, Taourirt, Oujda Angad, Jerrada, Figuig, Boulemane, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Taza, Fez, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, El Youssoufia and Ouarzazate.

The Directorate also indicated that the prefectures and provinces of Fquih Ben Salah, Béni Mellal, Kelaat Sraghna, Marrakech, El Haouz, Khénifra, Zagora, Tinghir, Errachidia, Taroudant, Tata, Assa-Zag and Laâyoune will experience a heat wave with temperatures ranging from 42 to 47 degrees Celsius, from Wednesday July 10 to Friday July 12.
