Amidst the cold wave the region is experiencing, a newborn baby girl was found abandoned on Saturday, December 6th, near regional road 114A in the Douar of Al-Baaarir Al-Wosta, belonging to the Zawiya Sidi Tahar commune, under the Ahmar command, Taroudant province.
The discovery of the baby girl was made by citizens before informing the Royal Gendarmerie elements at the Taroudant judicial center, who quickly cordoned off the place and opened an initial investigation to find out the circumstances of this criminal act. The investigation is still ongoing to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators involved in abandoning the baby girl. According to the available data, the baby girl was quickly transported to the children's ward at the Al-Mukhtar Soussi Regional Hospital to undergo the necessary medical examinations and ensure her health condition. After that, and by instructions of the Public Prosecution, she will be transferred to the abandoned children's headquarters to ensure her care and protection. The concerned authorities continue their investigations to reach everyone who is proven to be involved in this incident, which has sparked a wave of resentment and sympathy among the local population.
