Bourita meets with Chinese government’s special envoy for the Middle East


The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, met on Tuesday in Rabat with the Chinese government’s special envoy for the Middle East, Zhai Jun.

Visiting Morocco as part of preparations for the holding of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing next September, Mr. Jun indicated during this meeting that China wishes to count on the active participation of the Kingdom in this Forum and its leadership in Africa for the success of this important event, which is being held this year at the summit level.

For his part, Mr. Bourita highlighted the commitment of the Kingdom under the enlightened leadership of King Mohammed VI in favor of peace, stability and multidimensional development in Africa.

He also stressed Morocco’s commitment and determination to work jointly with China and brotherly African countries for the success of the Forum in order to promote the continent’s strengths and potential and meet its challenges.
