HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
A bus dedicated to transporting users was subjected to a dangerous attack last night, Thursday, December 11, by a masked gang that pelted it with stones on the highway near Tahraouine, in a clear attempt to intercept the bus, rob the passengers, and endanger their lives.
According to local sources, the driver and users were surprised by a barrage of stones that targeted the windows and the front, which caused a state of panic inside the bus, before the driver was able to continue driving and avoid a disaster. The incident brought to the forefront the urgent need to strengthen the security presence on this road axis, which witnesses the passage of a large number of users during the night periods, especially since stone-throwing operations with the aim of robbery are recurring in some marginal areas. The residents of Tahraouine and a number of road users expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation, demanding the intensification of security patrols, the improvement of public lighting, and the installation of surveillance cameras in the black spots known for the repetition of attacks. Citizens confirmed that "these criminal behaviors represent a direct threat to the lives of workers, students, and passengers who rely daily on transportation," calling for urgent and decisive intervention to reduce the danger of gangs that exploit darkness and isolated areas to carry out their actions. The incident constitutes a clear message that rings the alarm bell and confirms the need to take proactive security measures to protect road users and ensure their safety.
