Police officers in the Moulay Rachid security district in Casablanca managed, on the evening of Saturday, December 13, to arrest 14 people suspected of being involved in a case related to violence related to sports riots and causing material damage to public property.
The police services in Casablanca had received a notification about the involvement of a group of people, suspected of being affiliated with two factions of supporters of a local football team, in exchanging violence using white weapons on the public street and injuring a citizen, which necessitated the intervention of police patrols to impose public order. The suspects confronted the police officers with violent resistance by throwing stones, which caused material damage to four national security cars, before the investigations and investigations resulted in the arrest of 14 people from among the suspects, after a short time of committing these criminal acts. The seizure and search operations carried out in this case enabled the discovery of four white weapons in the possession of the suspects, in addition to a tear gas canister suspected of being used in committing these criminal acts. The arrested suspects were subjected to a judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, to reveal all the circumstances, details, and backgrounds of this case, while investigations and investigations are still ongoing with the aim of arresting the remaining alleged perpetrators of these criminal acts.
