Appointment of Mr. Hervé Orama Barrere as new CEO of Centrale Danone

Centrale Danone announces the appointment, effective July 1, 2024, of Mr. Hervé Orama Barrere as the new Chairman and CEO, succeeding Mrs. Nathalie Alquiercalled upon to exercise new responsibilities within the Group.
Mr. Hervé Orama Barrere brings with him a wealth of management and leadership experience. Prior to joining Centrale Danone, he served as Managing Director of Danone South Africa, and since the beginning of this year, his responsibilities have expanded to sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, he oversaw a portfolio of brands such as NutriDay, Ultra Mel, Yogi Sip, Inkomazi, DanUp and FanMilk.
His career at Danone also includes general management roles in Algeria and Nigeria, where he significantly contributed to strengthening Danone’s presence in the infant nutrition and essential dairy categories.
Ms. Nathalie Alquier led Centrale Danone from 2019 to 2024 with a clear vision and a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability. Under her leadership, Centrale Danone consolidated its market leadership position and strengthened its social and environmental responsibility initiatives.

Mr. Barrere is recognized for his expertise in strategy and knowledge of African markets, having worked in various regions of the continent. His integrated approach to sustainability and profitability has been instrumental in strengthening Danone’s position in Africa.
