HIBAPRESS
The opening of the Hay Riad train station in Rabat, located next to the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, contributed to easing traffic congestion that accompanied the matches of the Moroccan national team, especially during major matches.
Thousands of Moroccans, especially those coming from Casablanca and Kenitra, preferred to travel by train to attend the Moroccan national team match, unlike previous matches in which there was a heavy reliance on private cars, which caused severe traffic congestion on the roads leading to the stadium.
A large number of residents of the cities of Salé and Temara and the surrounding areas near the capital Rabat also resorted to using the train as a main means of transportation in order to reach the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
"HIBAPRESS" witnessed the train departing from the Ain Sebaa station towards the Hay Riad station at one forty o'clock, which was completely full of fans, in a scene that reflects the great demand for this means.
In this context, Rabie Lkhlie', the General Manager of the National Railways Office, personally supervised the acceleration of the works of the Hay Riad station in Rabat, so that it would be ready before the date of the matches, within the framework of proactive efforts to ensure smooth and safe movement for the fans.
The National Railways Office mobilized its cadres and employees, who made great efforts to facilitate the movement of fans, by strengthening the rail offer and adding exceptional trips specifically for the Moroccan national team match.
It is worth noting that the National Railways Office has held an official partnership with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), as part of its contribution to the success of this continental sporting event.
Last Monday, the National Railways Office opened the Rabat Hay Riad – Moulay Abdellah Stadium train station to passengers, with the aim of strengthening the railway transport infrastructure in the capital and facilitating the movement of citizens and visitors, in addition to the fans during the sporting events hosted by the capital.
