When Covid hits in the middle of Ramadan: Striking results

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported, the day before yesterday, Friday, in its weekly bulletin, a total of 14 new cases of Covid-19 infection and a single death.

In its bulletin on the epidemiological situation covering the period from March 9 to 15, 2024, the ministry specified that the number of first-time vaccinated reached 24,924,632, that of people having received two doses amounts to 23,426,631, then that 6,888,772 people have had three injections of the vaccine and 61,457 have received the fourth dose.

The new weekly infection report brings the total number of contaminations to 1,279,062 since the first case reported in Morocco on March 2, 2020, with a weekly positivity rate of 2.1%.

The new cases of infection were recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (11) and Daraâ-Tafilalet (03), while the case of death was recorded in the Fez-Meknes region.

The total number of deaths is 16,304 (general case fatality 1.3%), while active cases number 21.
