In the early hours of Friday morning, a security officer was found dead inside a residential apartment in the city of Imzouren, while a woman with the rank of Khalifa, who was with him, was transferred to the regional hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
According to preliminary data, a butane gas leak is likely to have been behind this unfortunate incident, pending the results of the investigation launched by the competent security services under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, to determine the real causes and to ascertain all the circumstances of the incident.
The incident mobilized various local and security authorities, who moved to the scene immediately upon notification, and also left a state of shock and sadness among the residents of the neighborhood.
Research is still ongoing until the issuance of official results confirming the cause of death and the details of the incident.
