The city of Tiznit was shaken, last Friday evening, by a tragic accident that claimed the lives of a young man and a young woman, inside a house located in the Al-Obour subdivision. The incident is believed to have been caused by suffocation from toxic gases emitted by the water heater.
According to initial data available, the two victims were found in a critical condition and were quickly transferred to the Tiznit Regional Hospital for treatment. However, rescue attempts failed, as they died from suffocation. Upon being informed of the accident, the security authorities and civil defense services moved to the scene, securing the site and opening an investigation under the supervision of the competent authorities to determine the real causes of the accident, its circumstances, and its details, especially whether it was related to a technical fault or poor ventilation inside the house.
