HIBAPRESS – Fikri Ould Ali
Informed sources have reported that recently, a firearm, a rifle, and 20 cartridges were seized. These were carefully hidden inside a "Sirentre" type car, designed for transporting goods, and bearing a forged license plate. This occurred in the Azghar area, in the Ait Youssef Ou Ali commune, in Al Hoceima province.
According to the same data, the car was seized at the scene under cautious circumstances before being transferred to the regional security headquarters in Al Hoceima for a thorough inspection, which resulted in the discovery of the firearm and the aforementioned ammunition. The sources clarified that elements of the judicial police, affiliated with the regional security in Al Hoceima, moved to Azghar based on precise information indicating the presence of individuals inside a villa suspected of being the subject of national and local search warrants issued by various security agencies, against the backdrop of suspicion of their involvement in cases related to shooting, kidnapping, and drug trafficking. The data added that the wanted persons managed to escape before the arrival of the security elements, taking advantage of the rugged terrain of the region, while investigations and inquiries continue to determine their whereabouts and reveal the extent of their connection to shooting incidents recorded in various areas of the province. The same sources confirmed that investigations are still ongoing under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, in order to determine all possible ramifications of this case and to apprehend those involved.
