HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
The local authorities in the sixth administrative district of Kenitra city began, last Saturday, the process of seizing a flock of sheep after they were caught in a state of reckless grazing within spaces not designated for this activity in the Bir Rami area.
According to information from the scene, damage was recorded to the vegetation and green spaces, which necessitated immediate intervention by the local authorities under the supervision of the district leader, and with the participation of the authorities' agents, where the legal procedures in force were applied. This intervention comes within the framework of efforts aimed at protecting the environmental field and organizing pastoral activity, especially within the urban area, which is witnessing increasing pressure on green spaces. The local authorities also called on livestock breeders to respect the laws regulating grazing, and to avoid exploiting public property or unallocated lands, to avoid punitive measures. This operation is part of a series of field interventions aimed at maintaining public order and responding to residents' complaints regarding manifestations of random grazing within residential neighborhoods.
