HIBAPRESS
The Moroccan Organization for Human Rights announced its intention to observe the phases of the upcoming trial against the followers in the wake of the riots that accompanied the final of the African Cup of Nations "CAN 2025" at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, which will be held on January 29 before the Court of First Instance in Rabat.
The organization explained, in a statement received by "HIBAPRESS", that this step falls within the framework of its policy aimed at promoting human rights and protecting fair trial guarantees, as well as in accordance with its tasks in monitoring the application of legal rules related to trials, and monitoring the extent of respect for national and international standards in this field. For this purpose, the organization stated that it has assigned a team of observers to attend the scheduled session or sessions, in order to document the data related to the availability of fair trial conditions, or to record observations related to its conduct, in full respect of the principles of neutrality and independence. The Moroccan Organization for Human Rights affirmed that this initiative falls within its usual human rights roles, noting that it will work, after completing the observation process, to prepare a report on the matter in accordance with the regulations in force in the field of trial observation.
