HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The city of Mohammedia is experiencing a worrying deterioration in the condition of a number of vital roads, a scene that worries residents and annoys road users daily.
The entrances and exits of the city, especially near the Al-Andalus complex, reflect a grim picture of the reality of the infrastructure, where potholes spread randomly without any intervention from the concerned authorities, despite the repeated complaints and appeals launched by citizens on multiple occasions. The situation is no different along Palestine Street towards Ain Taki, nor near the Diar Al-Alya residence, in addition to the main street of the Basatin Al-Firdous complex, where the roads have turned into what resembles real traps for drivers and pedestrians alike. This catastrophic situation causes daily traffic accidents and mechanical breakdowns of vehicles, with a complete absence of any maintenance work or even patching solutions that alleviate the suffering. In the face of this reality, the residents are questioning the usefulness of the repeated promises and the supposed responsibility of the local authorities, who seem to have chosen to normalize chaos and turn a blind eye to the ugly and disgusting scene that these road axes have become. Silence raises more than one question mark about the priorities of local management, and deepens the feeling of exclusion among the citizens of a city that is supposed to be an urban facade, not a model of neglect and marginalization.
