The territorial center of the Royal Gendarmerie in the city of Mayssour, within the framework of its security operations aimed at combating drug trafficking, has seized a significant amount of drugs and arrested a person in the act, in the Douar Lentreit, which falls under its territorial jurisdiction.
According to available data, this qualitative security operation came about based on accurate information received by the Royal Gendarmerie services, and resulted in the seizure of a plastic bag containing approximately 10 kilograms of kif plant in the form of spikes, in addition to about 2 kilograms of tobacco leaves prepared for consumption. The suspect has been placed under custody, by instructions from the competent Public Prosecution, in order to subject him to a preliminary investigation to determine the circumstances of this case, and to reveal the possible extensions of this criminal activity. This operation falls within the context of the continuous and proactive efforts made by the services of the territorial center of the Royal Gendarmerie in Mayssour to combat drug trafficking networks, and to reduce the spread of this scourge, which contributes to protecting youth and society from its health and social repercussions.
