In implementation of the official memoranda that explicitly stipulate the consecration of environmental awareness in the souls and practices of young people, and in order to implement the Eco-Schools program that aims to consolidate sustainable development and environmental protection behaviors among male and female students in pre-primary and primary education, and in order to achieve the goals of being awarded the "Green Flag," the Environmental and Health Club at the Oulad Azzouz Schools Group, affiliated to the Regional Directorate of Education in Settat, organized distinguished environmental activities to consecrate and enhance the culture of raising environmental awareness and raising awareness of the dangers of waste of all kinds, and the extent of its impact on the environment.
The members of the environmental club at the institution outlined a work program aimed at entering the competition to raise the Green Flag by forming homogeneous groups that include male and female students from different levels, taking into account the adoption of a gender approach.
The members of the environmental club have developed an integrated educational project aimed at collecting waste, recycling it, and classifying it into plastic, organic, and glass waste, while considering the development of an action plan for manufacturing environmentally friendly bags and creating specifications for the alternative bag, and recycling plastic through the search for partners and actors in the field.
One of the most important goals of the Environmental Club remains to ensure the wide participation of male and female students in all environmental campaigns and training workshops that are planned to be organized around the dangers of plastic waste.
For their part, the members of the Environmental and Health Club praised the full support provided by the Regional Academy for Education and Training in the Casablanca-Settat region, as well as the Regional Directorate of Education with its various departments, to the educational system in all its components, in order to achieve the goals of public schools and make them an attractive space befitting its users, praising the pivotal role of the educational frameworks in the institution and their responsible involvement in mentoring and accompanying male and female students to complete environmental, sports, cultural, artistic, and educational projects, as well as the role of the Parents' Association, the community and political fabric, the local authorities, and the open communication approach of LafargeHolcim Morocco company in Settat as a citizen company for its continuous support and its permanent presence side by side with the administration of the institution.
