**Morocco’s airports welcome more than 15 million passengers**

The National Airports Office (ONDA) announced that Moroccan airports recorded a new record in the first six months of 2024, with a total of 15,104,579 passengers, an increase of 19% compared to the same period in 2023.
In a press release, the Office specified that this growth concerned the majority of airports, notably Rabat-Salé (+40%), Agadir (+34%), Marrakech (+29%), Tetouan (+23%), Tangier (+21%) and Fez (+12%).
According to the same source, national air traffic reached 1,531,191 passengers during the first half of the current year, which represents a 22% improvement compared to the same period in 2023.
On the other hand, international air traffic recorded an increase of 19% compared to the first half of 2023, with 13,573,388 passengers welcomed. This development is attributed to the good performance of the European (+20%), African (+16%), Middle Eastern and Far Eastern (+15%) markets.
The Office also noted 111,783 aircraft movements at the end of June, an increase of 15% compared to the same period last year. Mohammed V airport accounts for 35% of these movements, Marrakech-Menara 26%, and Agadir-Al Massira 9%.
