HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
In the city of Agadir, two young men launched a simple but impactful humanitarian initiative, where they paid off the debts of a number of needy families registered with commercial stores in different neighborhoods of the city, in a move that was widely welcomed by the residents.
The two young men went to a group of shops and inquired with their owners about the remaining amounts owed by some customers, before paying them in full, which brought joy to the hearts of families who were suffering from financial hardship, especially during this period when expenses are increasing. They documented this initiative through a video clip posted on social media, where the interaction of the shop owners and their happiness with this step appeared. A number of citizens also expressed their appreciation for the initiative and considered it a model of solidarity among members of society. This step falls within the framework of solidarity initiatives that Morocco witnesses during the month of Ramadan, where a number of benefactors and volunteers are keen to help vulnerable groups and ease their burdens. This initiative confirms that humanitarian work does not need great capabilities as much as it needs a sincere intention and a spirit of solidarity, and that simple initiatives can make a real difference in people's lives.
