HIBAPRESS – Marrakech: Mohamed Daher
Drug traffickers in Marrakech set a date for the completion of a deal to sell a significant quantity of hashish, weighing more than 150 kilograms, the night before yesterday. It was agreed that the delivery and handover would take place not far from the headquarters of the Regional Service for the Protection of National Territory, located on Al-Ikhwa Street in Ain Mezouar.
The operation was monitored by elements of national territorial protection, who were drawn to the suspicious stopping of the perpetrators' cars late at night. After security elements rushed to investigate the matter, drug traffickers fled the scene, leaving the drugs behind.
The seized substances were confiscated and referred to the Anti-Gang Brigade of the Judicial Police in Marrakech, where an investigation was opened into the case.
In the absence of any official information, news is being circulated that suspects have been arrested, who are believed to be involved in the seized drug case, which, given its significant quantity, is not unlikely to be linked to international drug trafficking.
