Farid Chourak, the Governor of the Marrakech-Safi region, presided over the ceremony of the blessed Laylat al-Qadr on the evening of the twenty-seventh of the blessed month of Ramadan at the Koutoubia Mosque in a distinctive spiritual atmosphere attended by a number of civilian and military officials, along with religious figures and a large gathering of worshipers.
This religious occasion witnessed the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the chanting of Prophetic praises, in addition to the delivery of religious lessons and sermons that highlighted the lofty values of the month of Ramadan and the importance of Laylat al-Qadr in the lives of Muslims. The religious ceremony was distinguished by prayers for the Commander of the Faithful, Mohammed VI, for victory and empowerment, and that God protects him as He protected the Holy Quran, and to bless him with his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay El Hassan, and to strengthen him with his brother, Prince Moulay Rachid, and to perpetuate the blessing of security and stability on the Kingdom of Morocco. This occasion falls within the framework of the established religious traditions that the local authorities in the city of Marrakech are keen to revive annually for the great religious and spiritual symbolism it carries in the hearts of Moroccans, especially within the space of the Koutoubia Mosque, which is one of the most prominent religious and historical landmarks in the Red City.
