The issue of the "additional hour" in Morocco is no longer just a technical adjustment in setting the clock hands, but has turned into a front for a deep rift between administrative orientations and the sociological reality of the Moroccan citizen.

This incident raises a fundamental question about the concept of balance in public policies, as how can decisions be justified that are taken exclusively to serve purely economic and technical considerations, at a time when the "human element" is absent from the equation? Continuing to impose this forced pace places the citizen in the category of a "robot" that is only required to adapt and remain silent, without the slightest consideration for the biology of his body or the daily challenges facing Moroccan families with the darkness of dawn. Bassou's post is, in its depth, a rights advocacy in a sarcastic manner, reminding that any economic growth or harmony with international partners does not put human dignity and health as a top priority, it remains a model that lacks the spirit and social legitimacy required by a state of institutions.
