The investigating judge at the Marrakech Court of Appeal decided yesterday, Saturday, to imprison a young man in his twenties in Al-Oudaya prison, after he appeared before the Public Prosecutor's Office and the presentation procedure was completed, where he was charged with serious charges of kidnapping and rape under threat of a white weapon.
The facts of the case date back to last Thursday evening, when a girl came to the Ben Guerir police and reported the incident of one of her friends, about 19 years old, being kidnapped and raped, clarifying that a person who was in an unnatural state, and she had previous knowledge of him, forced her under threat of a white weapon to accompany him from the "Jinan Al-Khair" subdivision to a house in the "Old Africa" neighborhood in Ben Guerir, and there he had sex with her without her consent after detaining her inside it and closing the door tightly so as not to leave her any chance to escape. The complainant continued that her victim friend was able, in a moment of his inattention, to communicate with her and inform her of the details of what she was being subjected to inside the house, which prompted the latter to rush to inform the security. The security services reacted quickly and seriously to the report, as its elements were mobilized, who surrounded the house / crime scene, and the victim was rescued and the suspect was arrested, who was placed under precautionary custody, in coordination with the competent Public Prosecutor's Office, before the security investigation with him ended and he was presented before the judiciary.
