The judicial police and the motorcycle brigade in the regional security zone in the city of Guelmim, this Wednesday morning, April 1st, were able, in a short time, to arrest minors aged 16 and 17, with criminal records, one of whom is wanted nationally, due to their suspected involvement in two cases related to theft from a commercial store and theft of a motorcycle.
The security services in the city of Guelmim had witnessed on Tuesday the theft of a commercial store from within by two people, which was documented by a surveillance camera. Therefore, the judicial police conducted a series of investigations, inquiries, and technical expertise, enabling them to identify the suspects and arrest them successively in a short time. The initial investigations showed that the concerned individuals had managed to escape from a private social care institution after they were placed there following their involvement in a similar case related to theft, and the investigations also showed the suspected involvement of one of them in the case of a motorcycle theft, in addition to the fact that he is wanted at the national level for the benefit of the Royal Gendarmerie for intentional assault and battery. The security source adds that the minors have been held in the place designated for events for the benefit of the investigation supervised by the Public Prosecution at the Court of Appeal, in order to determine all the criminal acts attributed to them.
