Elements of the Royal Gendarmerie in the Katara brigade in the prefecture of Marrakech managed, a short while ago, this Thursday morning, to stop a light vehicle carrying a significant quantity of rotten turkey meat.
According to sources of the newspaper, the rotten turkey meat was discovered after stopping a car at a Royal Gendarmerie checkpoint at the Katara commune level, where it was revealed that there were bags inside, and during the search, a quantity of rotten turkey meat was found destined for the weekly market in Tamensourt. By instructions from the Public Prosecution, the driver was arrested and taken to the Royal Gendarmerie headquarters to complete the investigation, while the seized meat was destroyed, in the presence of representatives from the health office, as well as employees of the National Office of Food Safety.
