The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, chaired today, Thursday in Rabat, the tenth session of the National Investment Committee, established under the new investment charter that came into effect in March 2023, in line with the high royal directives.

The Head of Government affirmed at the beginning of the meeting that the investment dynamic in the Kingdom is witnessing significant momentum since the adoption of the new charter, noting that foreign direct investment revenues recorded a record level of 56.1 billion dirhams in 2025, an increase of 22% compared to 2018. He stressed that the implementation of the support system for very small, small, and medium-sized enterprises contributes to establishing a new territorial dynamic, in line with the royal vision for promoting investment as a key lever for economic growth and providing job opportunities for young people. During this session, the committee approved 44 projects, including 30 convention projects and 14 convention annexes, within the framework of the basic investment support system. The total value of these projects is 86.36 billion dirhams, and they contribute to creating about 20,500 direct and indirect jobs, including 9,000 direct jobs and 11,500 indirect jobs. The approved projects cover 19 provinces and prefectures in 10 regions in the Kingdom, including Inezgane, Ait Melloul, Khouribga, Midelt, Nador, Oued Eddahab, and Rehamna. They include 18 economic sectors, most notably: tourism, renewable energies, the automotive industry, airport infrastructure, food industries, health, railway infrastructure, mining, transportation, chemical and semi-chemical industries, aviation industry, and higher education. The automotive industry sector tops the list of sectors with the most job creation, with 38%, followed by the tourism sector with 17%, then the food industries with 12%. Within the framework of the support system for strategic projects, the committee approved two convention projects worth 12 billion dirhams, which will contribute to creating more than 2,100 direct jobs, in addition to a convention annex covering the same sectors, namely the chemical industry and the automotive industry, distributed across the regions of Casablanca-Settat, the East, and Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima. The committee also granted strategic status to four additional projects, worth more than 33 billion dirhams, which will provide 4,000 direct jobs, reflecting Morocco's commitment to giving priority to projects with a significant economic and social impact.
