The Chinese company Ningbo Boway Alloy Material has decided to transfer a significant part of its investments to Morocco, by converting an industrial project that was planned in China to the industrial acceleration zone in Battoya in the Nador region. The project, which concerns the production of electronic alloys with an annual capacity of up to 30,000 tons, will receive a total investment estimated at about 150 million dollars, with the transfer of more than 59% of the funds previously raised for the new project in Morocco.
The choice of Morocco came after the original project in China faced economic and logistical challenges, including rising costs and the difficulty of meeting the requirements of international customers. Despite considering the option of Vietnam, the company decided to move towards Morocco based on direct requests from its international customers who preferred to localize production in the Kingdom. The project targets supplying advanced industrial sectors such as smart devices, semiconductor components, and the electric car industry, which are areas witnessing increasing demand globally. Also, the strategic geographical location of Morocco, and its ability to connect European, African, and American markets, contributes to attracting global investments. The project is expected to be launched at the end of 2028, with an annual turnover exceeding 2.7 billion yuan and net profits of about 210 million yuan. This investment reflects the continuous transformation of Morocco as a leading industrial center in the region, and strengthens its position in global industrial value chains.
