The Head of Government, Fatima Zahra Al Mansouri, affirmed during her speech at the joint session held today, Monday, dedicated to presenting the governmental program, that the government considers the reform of pension systems an integrated social and structural project, framed by social dialogue and governed by specific goals and stages for implementation, with defined financing.
Al Mansouri explained that the effectiveness of the pension system is not only measured by its ability to disburse pensions on time, but also by the adequacy of their value, stressing the government's commitment to linking this structural reform with a tangible improvement in the income of retirees, through the gradual increase of the minimum pension for main pensions to 3,000 dirhams per month across various systems.
In the same context, the Head of Government highlighted that the expected reform includes enabling widows to receive a full pension equivalent to 100% of the main pension due to the deceased husband, instead of the current 50% rate, while preserving the rights of orphans and other beneficiaries.
