Moroccan international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli has extended his contract with Real Betis until June 30, 2029, the Andalusian club announced on Wednesday.
“Real Betis Balompié and Ez Abde have agreed to extend the contract of the Moroccan international for an additional season, until 2029,” the Spanish club said in a press release.
Arriving at Betis during the 2023/24 season, Ezzalzouli quickly established himself as a key element of the squad, playing a decisive role in the team’s qualification for the UEFA Conference League, underlines the club, noting that he played 51 matches in a single season, during which he scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists.
At only 23 years old, Ezzalzouli has also established himself on the international scene as a pillar of the Atlas Lions, with whom he notably won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games.
The Lion of the Atlas expressed his satisfaction and said he wanted to “demonstrate on the pitch this confidence” that the Verdiblanco club had placed in him.
“I want to maintain this level, or even improve it. I will work to do even more and to score the goals,” he told the Andalusian club’s media.
