HIBAPRESS – Meknes
The activities of the eighteenth session of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco continue in the city of Meknes, which constitutes a platform for displaying the diversity and richness of local products, with the participation of actors from various regions of the Kingdom.
In this context, HIBAPRESS continues, through the "Cooperatives from the heart of SIAM" series, to shed light on models of cooperatives that have chosen to valorize natural resources and develop their presence in the markets. Among these models, the agricultural cooperative "Safaa Apiaries", which originates from the Souss-Massa region, and specifically from the Aksri commune in the Agadir Ida Outanane province, stands out. It is active in the field of producing and valorizing honey and related natural products. The cooperative was established in 2018 and includes seven members who work within an organized framework aimed at developing production and improving its quality.

Since its inception, the cooperative has worked to enhance its capabilities by benefiting from institutional support, especially from the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and the Regional Office for Agricultural Investment in Souss-Massa, which enabled it to open up to new experiences and participate in agricultural exhibitions inside and outside Morocco, and to introduce its products to a wider audience.

"Safaa Apiaries" offers a diverse range of natural products, foremost among which are various types of local honey for which the Souss region is famous, in addition to the traditional "amlou" product, as well as argan oil derivatives. The cooperative has also worked on developing its products by offering new "amlou" compositions, including different ingredients such as cashew nuts and pumpkin seeds, within the framework of diversifying the offering and creating added value.

During its participation in the eighteenth session of the International Agricultural Exhibition, the cooperative displays its products within a special pavilion, where it is experiencing a high turnout from visitors, supported by the quality and diversity of the products, in addition to adopting health and safety standards in the various stages of production.
This event is an opportunity for the cooperative to expand its network of professional relationships, and to further introduce its natural products, in addition to exploring new marketing prospects inside and outside Morocco.
The experience of "Safaa Apiaries" reflects the dynamism that the cooperative sector in the Souss-Massa region is witnessing, and the role it plays in valorizing local products and creating economic opportunities, thereby strengthening the presence of the social and solidarity economy.
