The local prison administration in Tata issued a clarifying statement to the public, in response to what was circulated via the social media site "Facebook", regarding what was described as a state of "anger and resentment from the foul odors emanating from the surroundings of the institution".
The prison administration confirmed that what is being promoted in this regard "does not reflect the reality of the situation", clarifying that the institution has a special station for the treatment of wastewater, which is regularly subject to maintenance and technical monitoring. The statement added that this station has a laboratory certificate proving that the treated water is free of any diseases or insects, pointing out that the results of laboratory analyzes carried out on March 23, 2026, confirmed the conformity of this water with the standards adopted in the field of wastewater treatment. The institution's administration stressed its permanent commitment to respecting environmental and health regulations, calling for accuracy in conveying information and avoiding the dissemination of inaccurate data that could cause confusion.
