The headquarters of the Al Hoceima Province Prefecture hosted, on the morning of Sunday, May 4, 2026, an official ceremony to bid farewell to the pilgrims heading to the Holy Land to perform the Hajj, in an atmosphere of faith filled with reverence and emotion.
The ceremony was presided over by the Governor of the Province, Fouad Haji, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Prefecture, the Head of the Internal Affairs Department, along with the Head of the Local Scientific Council, and the regional delegates from both the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. In his speech on the occasion, the Governor of the Province congratulated the blessed pilgrims on the occasion of their honor of performing this duty, praising the special care given by the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to the affairs of Moroccan pilgrims, through his directives aimed at facilitating various procedures and ensuring suitable conditions throughout their journey. The pilgrims were also urged to adhere to the values of patience and discipline, and to abide by the organizational guidelines, highlighting their responsibility in representing Morocco in the best possible way as its ambassadors during this global religious event, with a call to embrace the spirit of tolerance and respect for the sanctity of the rituals. For their part, the head of the local scientific council and the regional delegate of endowments, in addition to the delegate of the Ministry of Health, presented guidance presentations that included religious instructions related to the Hajj rituals, along with preventive health advice to ensure the performance of the rituals in sound health conditions. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of Hajj-related documents to the beneficiaries, in an atmosphere dominated by feelings of joy mixed with awe, before prayers were raised to God Almighty to protect the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and perpetuate his health and well-being, and to grant him the joy of his Crown Prince, Prince Moulay El Hassan, and to strengthen his support with Prince Moulay Rachid and all members of the Royal Family.
