HIBAPRESS – Ahmed Al-Musaid
The partial ballot boxes in the tenth district of Saaidia city, on Tuesday, May 5th, resulted in the victory of the candidate of the Party of Progress and Socialism, Fatima Zahra Al-Mahi, for the vacant seat allocated to the additional list, in a partial electoral station marked by competition between the parties of "The Book" and "The Balance".
In the results, Fatima Zahra Al-Mahi secured the lead by obtaining 170 votes, surpassing the candidate of the Istiqlal Party, Chaimaa Hayouni, who came second with 133 votes.
In reading the scene, Abdelkader Benmoumen, the president of the Saaidia Municipal Council and the local secretary of the Istiqlal Party, confirmed that these results are a normal democratic station, explaining that the nature of the "partial" elections means that the balance of power within the council remains constant, and the presidency continues to implement its development program without any change.
He also affirmed the party's respect for the results of the ballot boxes, reminding that politics is about rotation, and just as the Istiqlal Party previously gained the confidence of the residents in the "Shararba seat" and in the presidency of the council, the voters today chose another face for District 10.
He also reassured the residents that the stability of the council and the path of collective work have not been affected, and that the priority remains to implement projects, and called for overcoming the stage of electoral competition and beginning the "time of cooperation" with the new member, stressing that the ultimate goal is integration to serve the public interest.
