Badr Benoun, defender of Raja Casablanca, clarified the reality of the video that was circulated after the derby match, in which he appeared in conversation with Wydad Casablanca player Abdellah Ghafouri, confirming that the circulated interpretations were far removed from the actual context of the conversation between them.
Benoun, in a clarification he published through his official accounts, confirmed that the dialogue that took place with Ghafouri was related to an old incident dating back to the period when the player himself was active within the ranks of Olympique de Safi, stressing that his words were only in the context of reminding of that incident without any intention of offending any party. The former Moroccan international stressed that he has great respect for Olympique de Safi club and its fans, as well as all components of national football, explaining that he had not issued at any time any action or words that would offend the clubs or the fans, considering that competition within the stadiums should remain within the framework of sportsmanship and mutual respect. In the same context, Benoun apologized to anyone who may have misunderstood his words or felt offended as a result of what was circulated, confirming that the content of his real conversation does not carry any negative meaning as it was promoted on social media platforms. The Raja Casablanca player also revealed that he began this morning to take legal action against some pages and individuals, against the backdrop of what he described as exceeding the limits of sports criticism and turning the matter into a personal offense that affected his family through posts and comments that he considered unacceptable. This clarification comes in light of the great interaction that the video left after the derby match, amid widespread controversy on social media about the context of the conversation between the players.
