Informed sources revealed that the background of the crime that shook the Moulay Rachid district of Casablanca goes back to emotional disputes within a relationship that was between an employer and an employee at a money transfer agency in Al-Abrat district, far from what was initially circulated about theft or sexual assault.
According to the same data, the suspect, a man in his fifties who owns the agency, was in an emotional relationship with the 29-year-old victim who worked for him, before the relationship developed to a level of trust, manifested in registering the agency's activity in her name in a step that reflects a previous intention to be associated with her. However, the course of the relationship took a sharp turn after it became clear, according to the same sources, that the young woman was in a relationship with another younger person, which caused severe psychological tension for the suspect, before the disputes between the two parties escalated during the recent period. The sources add that the incident occurred inside the agency after its door was closed from the inside, where screams were heard that alerted the residents of the neighborhood who rushed to inform the local and security authorities. The security intervention resulted in the discovery of the victim's lifeless body inside the shop, while the suspect was transferred in a critical health condition to the hospital, amid expectations of a suicide attempt after committing the crime. A judicial investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, in order to determine all the circumstances surrounding this incident, which left a wide shock among the population.
