Within the framework of continuing efforts to counter the dangers of extremism and avert terrorist threats targeting the security of the Kingdom and the safety of citizens, the judicial police services in both Midelt and Douar Douibat in Youssoufia, based on precise information provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, were able, today, Friday, to arrest extremists loyal to the terrorist organization "ISIS", both of whom are 19 years old.
A statement from the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations stated that preliminary investigations and inquiries supported by security tracking operations showed that the suspects had pledged allegiance to the alleged emir of the terrorist organization "ISIS", with a view to implementing imminent terrorist plans within the framework of what is called "individual jihad", targeting serious harm to the safety of individuals, public order and vital facilities. For research needs, the same source adds, the suspects were placed under custody to hand them over to the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations to conduct a judicial investigation under the supervision of the Public Prosecution in charge of terrorism cases, in order to reveal all the extremist activities attributed to them, and to verify their possible connections with various terrorist organizations.
