A statement from the Minister of Interior regarding a review of the general electoral lists in preparation for the upcoming legislative elections to elect members of the House of Representatives, scheduled for September 23, 2026, indicated that the period for submitting new registration applications begins on May 15, 2026, and ends on June 13, 2026.
The statement mentioned that "In the context of preparing for the legislative elections to elect members of the House of Representatives, scheduled for September 23, 2026, the Minister of Interior informs citizens that a decision of the Minister of Interior, No. 690.26, dated Dhu al-Qi'dah 4, 1447 (April 22, 2026), was issued in the Official Gazette on April 23, 2026, providing for the organization of a review of the general electoral lists in preparation for the upcoming legislative elections." It clarified that "The aforementioned decision specifies a period of 30 days for submitting new registration applications, starting from May 15, 2026, and ending on June 13, 2026." Following that, the Minister of Interior urges citizens not yet registered in the general electoral lists, who meet the legally required conditions, and who are at least eighteen (18) full solar years old or who will reach this age on September 23, 2026, to submit their registration applications during the aforementioned period, i.e., from May 15, 2026, to June 13, 2026. The Minister of Interior also calls upon individuals who have changed their actual place of residence outside the territorial jurisdiction of the community or district in whose electoral list they are registered, to submit applications to transfer their registration to the list of the community or district in whose territorial jurisdiction they have moved to reside effectively. New registration applications or transfer applications can be submitted by the concerned citizens either directly through the website: www.listeselectorales.ma, or to the offices designated by the local administrative authority for this purpose. As for the voters who have changed their place of residence within the territorial jurisdiction of the same community or district, they must, during the same period, i.e., from May 15, 2026, to June 13, 2026, update their addresses included in the electoral list of the relevant community or district either directly through the website: www.listeselectorales.ma, or inform the local administrative authority to which their new actual place of residence belongs in order to update their addresses. On the other hand, the Minister of Interior calls upon voters, especially those who have changed their actual place of residence outside the territorial jurisdiction of the community or district in whose electoral list they are registered, to verify their registration in the electoral lists by sending a short text message to the toll-free number 2727, or by accessing the website for the general electoral lists: www.listeselectorales.ma. In case their names are not found in the current general electoral list, each concerned person must submit a new registration application directly through the website or by submitting their application to the offices designated by the local administrative authority for this purpose, before the end of the period specified for submitting new registration applications, i.e., June 13, 2026, at the latest.
