This is not a surprise to anyone except those who do not believe in the intrinsic abilities of Colonel Major Aboubakr Ayoubi, who remains a major asset for the AS FAR football team that he has masterfully led since he was appointed to his position as deputy president.
Ayoubi will remain this good-natured man who knew how to get by wisely with AS FAR at a time when the club was in a period of regaining confidence and who knew how to give it back the expected confidence which had allowed the “military” to pull themselves together again and go for their recent Title of last year.
It should be remembered that the period 2010-2018 was a long period of crossing the desert, with numerous changes of coaches and a lack of sporting and administrative stability, knowing that the club was forced between 2014 and 2016 to play in stadiums other than its own.
Many sacrifices made by Ayoubi who had to combine profession and leadership and who managed to get things back on track to see AS FAR today more seasoned than ever
Ayoubi may well be “hated” by the AS FAR public, but that is one of the “hazards of the job” that he has managed to keep within himself without overdoing it.
Today, on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the enthronement of HM King Mohammed VI and to better reward all the considerable efforts made by Colonel Major Ayoubi, HM King Mohammed VI promoted him to the rank of General of the Royal Gendarmerie…which remains a much better way to restore some credibility to him with some
Congratulations on the promotion and good luck to the whole AS FAR family
