HIBAPRESS – Mohammed Manfalouti
HIBAPRESS learned from its sources that the fires that are still consuming the fields of Chaouia, specifically in the Jama'at Al-Hawazza and other groups, hastened the transfer of the provincial governor with the rest of the heads of external services from the Royal Gendarmerie, civil protection, and security services. Meanwhile, the services of civil protection from both El Jadida and Casablanca were used due to the seriousness of the situation and the expansion of the fires, which consumed vast areas of agricultural crops that besieged the villages and livestock of the residents.
It is worth mentioning that the province of Settat and the province of Berrechid have witnessed a series of fires in recent days that have consumed many hectares of cultivated land, despite the limited services of the civil protection elements and the weakness of logistics and the distances between their headquarters and the location of the fires.
This was "HIBAPRESS" had addressed in a series of articles warning of the danger, and requested the concerned authorities to strengthen the civil protection fleet and bring the services closer by establishing temporary headquarters for them that are equipped with the latest equipment.
Dangers like these require the ministry in charge of the sector to continue to activate the strategic orientations brought by the Green Morocco plan while adopting policies aimed at managing the risks surrounding agricultural production by developing an insurance system that ensures the improvement of the business climate in the sector.
