A number of citizens were surprised, after slaughtering their sacrifices, by the presence of parasites and "worms" inside the meat and offal of the sheep "liver and lungs," which prompted many of them to get rid of parts of the sacrifice or refrain from consuming it for fear of their health safety.
Citizens circulated photos and videos on social media documenting the presence of unnatural bodies and parasites inside some sacrifices, which sparked a state of concern and discontent, especially in light of the repeated registration of similar cases in different areas.
A number of those affected demanded that the competent authorities and veterinary services open an investigation to uncover the causes of this phenomenon, and to ensure the extent of adherence to the health monitoring conditions for sacrifices, as well as the conditions of their rearing and feeding before they are offered for sale.
