HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The residents of the municipality of Beni Yakhlef, which belongs to the province of Mohammedia, have expressed their discontent with the deteriorated condition of a number of roads and main axes in the region, demanding the governor of the Casablanca-Settat region to intervene urgently with the elected authorities to launch projects to rehabilitate and break the isolation of a number of neighborhoods and residential subdivisions.
The residents complain, in particular, about the deteriorating condition of the roads in the Diar Al-Aalia subdivision, the Basateen Al-Firdaws and the Jnane Zaitoun residence, where some sections have turned into paths full of potholes and cracks, which impedes traffic and increases the suffering of road users on a daily basis.
Complaints from citizens also include the road linking the Sidi Abbad Bridge and the Ain Teki area, which is also experiencing a marked deterioration, despite being one of the vital axes used by a large number of vehicles and pedestrians to move between different neighboring areas.
A number of local actors and residents have demanded the programming of urgent projects to repair and rehabilitate these roads, stressing that improving the road infrastructure has become an urgent necessity to keep pace with the urban expansion that the municipality of Beni Yakhlef is witnessing, improving the conditions of movement of citizens and ensuring their safety.
