National voter Tariq Al-Saktiwi expressed his joy at the national team’s victory over its American counterpart by four unanswered goals and reaching the Olympic semi-finals for the first time in its history.
Al-Saktiwi said in a statement after the match: “Frankly, the national team has men, not players. They sacrificed a lot during the preparations and matches, and I want to tell them that I love them very much.
He added: “The players know very well the thirst and pride of the supporters, and we are happy with the victory and the qualification, and the men are writing history.”
He continued: “Today’s game was difficult compared to the previous game, but the players lived up to their expectations and did not disappoint and played at an excellent level.”
He added: “Things have not been easy from day one because of the time constraints, but we have men in the national team.”
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team beat its American counterpart by four unanswered goals in the quarter-finals, and will face the winners of Spain and Japan in the semi-finals.
