Global Money Week 2024: The AMMC mobilizes alongside the Moroccan Foundation for Financial Education

The Moroccan Capital Market Authority reiterates its commitment to promoting financial education in Morocco and participates, in collaboration with the Moroccan Foundation for Financial Education (FMEF), in the 12th edition of Global Money Week (GMW ).

Global Money Week is an annual global campaign organized by the OECD/INFE (OECD International Network for Financial Education). Its main aim is to raise awareness among young people of the importance of financial management in order to enable them to make informed decisions regarding their financial future.

This year’s edition begins on March 18 and is celebrated under the theme “Protect your money, secure your future.” Since its creation, GMW has rallied 176 countries to its initiative, offering diversified programs that have reached more than 60 million children and young people. In 2023, the campaign benefited from the active contribution of 40,416 organizations.

For the 2024 edition, the AMMC plans a rich and diversified program including:

The organization of immersion days and conferences for students from major schools and universities; The launch of the fourth edition of the “Finance Quiz” competition for high school students across several cities in the Kingdom; • The organization of workshops aimed at promoting financial education for school teachers participating in the “Finance Quiz” competition.

The AMMC will also make various educational content available to the public, including:

Two new editions of the investor’s guide; Video capsules addressing various themes related to the capital market; Financial education messages broadcast on radio waves; Awareness messages through AMMC social networks; A new edition of the game booklet to evaluate the knowledge acquired in the investor guides; Adding new content to the “Finance Quiz” application.
